Mother posts video of sick son, pleads with people to vaccinate
An Australian mother has posted an alarming video of her 4-month-old son suffering from whooping cough.
In a Facebook post, Rebecca Harreman details the heartache of watching her son, Austin, go through coughing fits and has pleaded with people to vaccinate their children.
“Okay so I know I said I’d let the hate go. But I’m tired. Damn tired,” Harreman writes, anxious that her son may not survive. “I’ve been on duty for over 3 weeks having to wake every single time my baby boy coughs for fear he will stop breathing. Every. Single. Time. I cannot and will not pass that duty to anyone else, because I just can’t sleep.”
Austin had been sick with whooping cough for 23 days when the video was posted on Nov. 14, meaning he should have been “getting past the bad stage,” according to Harreman, however a cold passed on to the child in hospital has made him relapse.
“I don’t care whether you want to try and prove to me that vaccinations and herd immunities don’t work. I don’t care that vaccinations have side effects, because every person in this world reacts differently to all types of food, products and medicines,” writes Harreman. “This is getting worse because people are not vaccinating!”
