RenovoRx, a Los Altos, California firm, received the CE Mark to introduce its RenovoCath catheter in Europe. The device allows for targeted infusion of fluids into the peripheral vasculature by using two balloons that occlude a vessel and permit fluids to flow only into designated regions.
Each balloon is independently positioned and inflated depending on the unique requirements of each procedure. It can deliver diagnostic and therapeutic liquid agents into vessels at least 3 mm in diameter and the balloons can inflate to occlude vessels up to 11 mm wide. The distance between the balloons can also be adjusted to anywhere between 25 mm and 120 mm.
