SIX victims of a freak gas explosion in far north Queensland are being cared for at a specialist Brisbane burns unit.
A QUEENSLAND Health spokesman says two of the victims from Tuesday’s blast arrived at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital’s intensive care burns unit on Wednesday night, bringing the total number at the hospital to six.
Two more of the 20 people injured in the explosion, which happened when a ute ploughed into gas bottles at a cafe at Ravenshoe, southwest of Cairns, are expected to arrive on Friday.
