Union leaders are demanding written guarantees from Bendigo Health about the future of jobs that are being privatised.
The 260 positions in food, maintenance and waste at the new Bendigo Hospital will be transferred to Spotless Services next year.
The hospital said the deal was signed off in 2013 and no jobs would be lost.
However, the Health Workers Union’s Lee Atkinson said the new Minister, Jill Hennessy, should investigate the tender process.
“We are still in negotiations about having all their entitlements if they go over to Spotless and there’s no definite yes or definite no from us anyway but according to Bendigo Health, Spotless is the only person that has won their tender,” he said.
