ACT Health has advised Canberrans to be cautious after a series of frozen mixed berry products were withdrawn from shelves over fears of Hepatitis A contamination.

Nanna’s Mixed Berries 1kg packs, which were sold in Coles, Woolworth, IGA and other independent supermarkets, were taken off the shelves on Saturday.

ACT Health said anyone with old packets should not consume them and instead return them for a full refund.

The recall affected all batches with best before dates up to and including November 22, 2016.

Hepatitis A symptoms which include abdominal pain, nausea, fever, yellow skin and dark urine, usually occur 28-30 days after exposure.

ACT Health said if anyone has concerns about their health they should visit their GP.
