A TRADESMAN ended up with part of a broken saw disc embedded in his face after trying to use an electric circular saw to cut metal bars in southeast China.

Zheng Lang said the accident happened so fast he didn’t even realise what had happened at first. “I felt something hit my forehead and blood came out,” he said

The accident happened when Zheng was cutting metal bars in a house under construction.

The broken disc flew out of the saw and embedded itself in Zheng’s forehead, narrowly missing his left eye.

Zheng was rushed to hospital where X-rays revealed that the disc had gone 2cm into his skull. Doctors operated to carefully remove the saw disc and broken pieces of skull.

Zhang is expected to recover fully apart from some slight impairment to the sight in his left eye.
