The Victorian Government is promising to base a paramedic at Wedderburn if it is re-elected this weekend.
People have been lobbying for years for improved services at Wedderburn, which is currently covered by a volunteer emergency response team.
The Coalition has pledged to spend $1.3 million to base what is called a paramedic community support coordinator in the town.
It follows Labor’s promise on Friday of $500,000 to revitalise the town centre.
Wedderburn is in the marginal seat of Ripon.
