A temporary GP service will start today in a north-west Victorian town that has lost its doctor.
Ouyen’s former GP Dr Victor Obatoki left the town at the end of October, over a legal dispute with the local health service.
Mallee Track Health and Community Service said it would have a locum GP available from today but the clinic would not be fully operational until Friday.
The health service said it was confident of securing a long-term solution to the loss of Ouyen’s GP early next year.
