A GOOD Morning America crew covering the removal of a body on the streets of the Liberian capital Monrovia has captured the moment when the health workers realised the man was still alive.
Dr Richard Besser’s report shows the health workers jumping back in surprise as the man — presumably suffering from Ebola — moved his arm.
The video comes as a cameraman for the rival NBC network has been diagnosed with the virus.
“This is the place right now, where if you die of Ebola, they’re very quick for you; if you’re living and you need help, there’s really nowhere to go,’ Dr Besser says in his report.
An ambulance is seen pulling up in the street, as pedestrians applaud, but the grim reality of Ebola in Liberia is underscored by the reporter, who says: “I don’t know where they could take him, there are no hospitals to treat him.”

Liberia has accounted for more than half of the 3,091 Ebola deaths since the deadly disease hit west Africa late last year.
Thomas Eric Duncan, the patient currently undergoing treatment for Ebola in a Dallas hospital, first reported feeling unwell several days after flying to the US from Monrovia.
