Texas health officials, in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, are currently combing through all the people who were in contact with Thomas Eric Duncan, the Ebola patient currently being treated in Dallas, when his symptoms started appearing.
The process, known as “contact tracing,” involves identifying, interviewing and monitoring what are now believed to be about 12 to 18 people, including five children, who Duncan may have had contact with when he was at home dealing with his disease. So far, none of the people officials are monitoring have tested positive for Ebola.
