A MAN has been released from a Perth hospital after being quarantined over fears he might have Ebola.

THE man had returned from West Africa and arrived at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on Tuesday morning complaining of fever-like symptoms.

A spokeswoman for the North Metropolitan Health Service said the man was isolated from patients and staff. However, he was tested and found to be suffering from a less serious illness. “There was no identifiable history of exposure to Ebola in this patient,” the spokeswoman said. She said the patient was treated and returned home.
