Parking spaces at the Canberra Hospital will be reduced as the National Capital Private Hospital adds an extension to its building.

An ACT Health spokeswoman said the changes would result in the temporary loss of 21 car parks while the construction was under way and a net loss of 15 public car parks once the extension is completed, as only six of the 21 would be replaced.

“It will mainly impact the doctor’s parking spaces at that location although a temporary parking area will be established across the road near the Garran Primary School for staff,” she said.

The spokeswoman said 35 temporary parks would be made available for staff who would eventually relocate to a basement car park being built by National Capital Private Hospital.
