The Rural Doctors Association says concern is building among its members about the impact of tough health budget measures on rural and regional patients. The Association says introducing a $7 Medicare co-payment will make rural people less likely to visit the doctor when they need to, and scrapping a training placements program will make it harder to attract doctors to rural careers. Its chief executive Jenny Johnson is speaking to ABC Rural’s Anna Vidot.
