State government name calling while putting quality public health care at risk – Media Release Queensland Greens #qldpol #smoqld #keepourdoctors
The Queensland Greens say the state government is being immature and arrogant in manufacturing and mishandling the dispute with public hospital doctors.
Greens’ Convenor, Andrew Bartlett, said “juvenile name calling and targeting the doctors rather than the substance of the issue is putting the quality and availability public health care in Queensland at serious risk.”
“The Newman government seems to be driven by blind ideology, striving to weaken public sector services to create a two tier system, regardless of the economic and fiscal costs.
“The Greens call on the government to stop toying with the lives of thousands of Queenslanders who are dedicated to delivering top quality health services.
“Queenslanders deserve mature evidence based policy from our government. Health services are too important for political games.”
